Aleviar & John Henderson

Founders

Aleviar and John Henderson met in college at the University of TN in 2001.  They were married on March 10, 2007. Together they share six children: Ja’ Mari, Anaiya, Talia Ayden, Asa and Ari. To their dismay, on May 29th, 2012 their daughter Talia passed peacefully in her sleep. Talia was born with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy and was wheelchair bond and tube fed her entire life. When she was born, the doctors said that Talia would only live 7 days, but to God’s glory, she blessed the lives of all who encountered her beautiful smile for 7 years.

The Henderson’s had just discovered the medical advances of Advanced Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, and the amazing benefits the procedures have on children suffering from brain injuries, autism, cerebral palsy etc. However, Talia passed before they could utilize such treatments. In Talia’s honor, the Henderson’s have made a commitment to help improve the quality of life of other children that have cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and other forms of debilitating issues that leave them handicapped through LUVTHEKIDZ foundation and the LIA’s LEGACY endowment fund.

It was Talia’s strength, will to live, and her ability to smile through the pain, that motivated Aleviar to get through the most unexpected, life threatening, physically and mentally debilitating battle of her life. In 2010, John Henderson, a 10 NFL veteran of the Jacksonville Jaguars was traded to the Oakland raiders.  Their family relocated to Dublin, CA in support of his career change. In May of 2011, the young, loving, and vibrant Aleviar Henderson, as all knew her to be, health unexplainably plummeted.  She was diagnosed with MS, Fibromyalgia, Diverticulosis, and dementia.  In January 2012, After meeting Dr. Nancy Evans of the Holtorf Medical Group, Aleviar was diagnosed with root cause of her symptoms, Lyme disease. With the collaborative efforts of Advanced Hyperbaric, Integrative Medicine, a strong faith in God, prayers, love, and support, Aleviar Henderson beat the odds.

John and Aleviar have always shared a great love for children.  After Talia passed, they began to consider adoption.  They were beyond heart broken, when they discovered that a great percentage of children with disabilities were given up to the states care.  This inspired and motivated them to do something to help remedy this reality.  Every Luvthekidz’s House of Hope Campus will have a Lia’s Legacy Dorm  dedicated to housing, nurturing, healing, and educating children who are disabled with special needs.

Together, the Henderson’s have successfully owned and managed several corporations. They have used their relationships and influence to bring a large variety of talent to the Northeast FL area.  LUVTHEKIDZ, Inc. was birthed by individuals who have overcome extreme adversities (both financially and physically), experienced both the love and loss of a disabled child, and who are the proud parents of five loving children.  Being motivated by their love and loss, John and Aleviar have committed to help bring the change they want to see.
